″WHY POLITICIANS NEED PUBLIC RELATIONS MANAGERS

There is no gainsay the fact that politicians truly need public relations managers or media managers.

This is so because when one hears how politicians talk in public you will see that they haven’t been advised on how to talk or what to say in that circumstance or situation.

For instance, how can a politician who was once a commissioner for eight years, a governor for eight years, minister for four years under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), say, “PDP is the problem of Nigeria.”

I will not mention the name of that politician because I don’t have the financial capability for litigation.

Now, how can a man who had enjoyed so many positions and benefits under the PDP accused the same political party of being the problem of Nigeria?

That uncoordinated statement simply means that he was part of the problem in the PDP.

Nonetheless, if that politician had a public relations or media manager, and he had advised him before speaking to the press, he could have simply said, “I have moved to another political party where l feel l can fulfill my future political ambition.”

With such a statement, he wouldn’t have offended anybody, and he can return to the PDP anytime, any day, without fear or shame.

Another member of the PDP who was once a commissioner, secretary to a state government and also became a governor, when he left the PDP, he said, “PDP doesn’t really protect its own.”

How did he want the PDP to protect its own?

The same man who accused the PDP of not protecting its own later returned to the same PDP!

Politicians can only avoid careless statements if they are properly advised by the public relations or media managers.
